We’re looking for an experienced fullstack Typescript engineer who’s passionate about technology and building great consumer products, has a strong desire to help shape product concepts from the ground up, demonstrates strong technical leadership, cares deeply about code quality, and actively mentors peers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

• Take active part in shaping product concepts and bring strategic thinking to problems involving scalability, performance, and system design.

• Stay hands-on in code, helping to prototype and build features and improve infrastructure across our whole tech stack: React Native app, Next.js app and our Node.js (Express) BFF.

• Iterate quickly towards the best solutions for our customers and business while always keeping the big picture in mind and writing high quality, performant and tested code.

• Work closely with backend engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts and business leads.

• Guide and mentor team members to help level up code quality, architecture design and development process, integrate and adopt best development practices via code reviews, technical specs reviews and learning sessions.

• You are genuinely passionate about software engineering, staying up-to-date with cutting-edge technologies, continuously learning, experimenting with new ideas, and applying the latest developments to your work. At the same time, you also know that not every shiny new tool is worth chasing – you focus on what actually helps the company solve real problems.
• You bring solid know-how in best engineering practices, particularly in testing, performance, error handling and observability and support your peers through hands-on mentoring and proactive knowledge sharing.
• You are eager to be involved in product development and contribute to shaping requirements, comfortably navigating ambiguity and helping to clarify vague or missing details.
• You care deeply about user experience and always think about customers first. Things like accessibility, semantic markup, responsive design, and performance optimizations are not an after-thought for you, but rather implied basic principles.
• In your approach to feature development, you always keep the big picture and overall system architecture in mind. You proactively identify technical bottlenecks and areas for improvement, contributing to the technical roadmap with clear proposals that articulate the impact and benefits of your suggestions.
• You have good judgment in knowing when to accept compromises and when to advocate strongly for critical technical decisions, ensuring the best outcomes for the project.
• You communicate with confidence and express strong opinions, backed by experience, articulating your arguments clearly while remaining open to constructive dialogue and avoiding being dogmatic.
• Your communication is precise and concise. You can tailor it for different audiences, adjusting the level of technical detail to make it clear.

• 5+ years of fullstack Typescript experience and understanding of JavaScript at a fundamental level, not just the framework you work in.

• 3+ years of hands-on React experience and a solid understanding of how it works.
  Experience with React Native and Next.js is a big plus, but it's NOT a requirement. You need to be interested in learning these technologies and excited to work on our mobile app

• 3+ years of hands-on production experience writing Typescript backends. We use Express, but the framework does not play a big role.

• Ability to plan projects, distil complex problems into their essential elements and clearly communicate your technical vision to the team, ensuring iterative approach and continuous value delivery.
