WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Data Science Working Student to join us, working in a hybrid setting from our Berlin office. Data is the core of every insurance business model and thus one of the most critical ingredients for the future success of Getsafe.

The Data Science team is responsible for researching opportunities and developing data products to give any customer in any market exactly the insurance products they need that protect what they care about, cost-effectively, and with a great service.

YOUR MISSION

As a Data Science Working Student (m/f/d) you will be part of a great team, supporting the development and maintenance of data science products that solve core business problems.

Support product development: Assist the team in maintaining and refining existing Data Science solutions (like dynamic pricing, lead scoring, and customer lifetime value) and contribute to the development life cycle of new data products.
Perform advanced data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with senior team members to enhance existing predictive models and apply industry-standard techniques to solve complex business problems.
Be a part of a team that has strong software development practices in place that guarantee a seamless collaboration.
You will drive the data culture at Getsafe with your data science solutions and will be responsible for bringing them to different stakeholders of the company.

ABOUT YOU

Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field (e.g., Physics, Engineering, Mathematics).
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week alongside studies.
Strong theoretical foundations in machine learning and statistics.
Hands-on experience applying common machine learning models through internships, coursework, academic projects, or personal projects.
You are familiar with Python.
You are eager to work in an agile and ever-changing environment.
You have excellent communication skills, high quality awareness, a hands-on mentality, team spirit and willingness to learn.
You are fluent in English.
